At Freestyle RVs, you’ll discover a wide range of caravans and recreational vehicles for sale to suit your needs. When perusing our selection, you’ll be able to view the following types of caravans:
The team at Freestyle RVs lives and breathes caravanning, which is why our Melbourne showroom is one of the largest undercover caravan display areas in the country.
Our dealership was established as a joint venture between George Josevski, the owner of renowned Lotus Caravans, and Giovanni Inturrisi, who’s the former project director of G&S Chassis, which specialised in the manufacturing of caravan and RV components and parts. Their storied history in the caravan and RV industry is reflected in the brands we sell and positive reviews.
We sell some of the top Australian caravan and RVs from, and are Melbourne’s exclusive Lotus Caravans distributor. Other brands we sell include Retreat Caravans, Great Aussie Caravans, Atlas Caravans, and Network RV Caravans.
We’re passionate about all things caravans and are here to help you find the perfect caravan for your adventuring needs.
Choosing the right size really comes down to what you want out of a caravanning experience. All caravans and RVs sold at Freestyle RVs are roadworthy and won’t exceed the width of a typical road lane (2.5 metres).
If you want a caravan that can offer more width for your living space when stationary, then a slide out caravan could be the right choice for you.
Outside of this, most size considerations come down to the length of the caravan and how the interior is designed. If you want a more spacious interior, you may have to opt for a caravan with less appliances, cabinetry and devoted areas for seating or beds.
Given that caravans are designed to be lived in, whether short-term or long-term, you don’t want to skimp on having all your key amenities and recreational features included, especially if you’re caravanning with the family.
If you need help determining the right sized caravan for your adventuring needs, feel free to get in touch with the team.
Any good caravan is an investment, so it’s important to ensure you make the right investment from the get-go. When you're a first-time buyer, take the time to really assess what you want from your caravan. Some questions to ask yourself include:
If you’re not sure where to start, you can always get in touch with us directly or spec your dream caravan and we’ll get back to you with initial suggestions to help you on your journey.
Yes, it’s possible to customise your caravan with Freestyle RVS. For the range of Lotus Caravans, we provide a variety of customisable features, including floor plans, layouts, interior finishes, and other relevant upgrades.
For the other caravans we sell, you can choose to spec your dream caravan with us. You can choose the brand you’re interested in, the caravan type and size, and your general budget, and a member of our team will get to you with a range of applicable options that meet your preferences.
You can also take virtual tours of different caravans or arrange for an in-person consultation at our showroom in Melbourne to discuss even more granular customisations.
Yes, very much so. In general, on-road caravans - often referred to as touring caravans - are best suited to sealed roads. This means any of the typical bitumen or concrete roads you’ll come across when traversing around Australia. It’s highly recommended that you keep a touring caravan on main roads, well-maintained rural roads and well-kept campsites.
Off-road caravans are ideal for your rougher terrain - dirt roads, makeshift tracks, rocky roads, etc. They’re also better suited to rougher weather conditions, such as heavy rains, ice, or snow.
If you want a caravan that can cater to a bit of both worlds, then it’s best to look into semi-offroad caravans and RVs.

Exceptional service! This is our first caravan. We chose the Atlas 180 because it has everything we want in a caravan, it is well built and fitted out, with attention to detail and the craftsmanship is of high quality. Frank, Nick and the team were extremely helpful, patient and knowledgeable. They spent a great amount of time going through everything with us, answering questions and any concerns we might have. They are tentative and know their stuff. Thanks Frank - we can't wait to take our new caravan for a spin!
